Inquiry and Consultation
Complete the donor inquiry and discuss your availability, motivation and health questions with the coordinator.
Matching and Selection
Donor selection considers the intended parents’ preferences. DOP’s published donor program is anonymous, with updates relayed through DOP and the fertility center.
Medical and Psychological Screening
The clinic reviews medical history, examines treatment suitability and arranges the required laboratory and psychological screening.
Agreements and Clearance
Review the donor and agency arrangements, compensation and funding terms with the appropriate professionals before treatment proceeds.
Medication and Monitoring
Your fertility team explains injectable medication and schedules monitoring appointments. Follow the actual clinic protocol rather than a fixed online timetable.
Egg Retrieval
The clinical team retrieves eggs, which may be frozen for later use or fertilized in the laboratory according to the intended parents’ treatment plan.
Recovery and Aftercare
Retrieval has risks and recovery varies. Follow the clinic’s aftercare advice; DOP coordinates follow-up and support for your physical and emotional well-being.
Screening and Treatment
Contraception and Medications
The published criteria mention Depo-Provera, Norplant, Nexplanon and hormonal IUDs. Tell the clinic about current contraception and medication; do not stop or change them based on this website.
Infection and Substance History
Discuss sexually transmitted infections within the past year, drug history, recent travel and other infection risks with the clinic. The clinical team determines the appropriate testing and eligibility.
Tattoos and Piercings
The published donor page asks applicants to avoid tattoos and body piercings in the six months before donation and during the cycle. Confirm how this applies to your screening and schedule.
Eggs may be frozen or fertilized according to the clinic’s treatment plan. Embryos may be transferred to an intended mother or surrogate. Discuss treatment and aftercare with your clinical team.
